The People Behind The Franklin Club Experience
Operating The Franklin Club takes a dedicated team across member services, dining, clubhouse operations, grounds, hatchery care, fishery support, events and seasonal maintenance. From the first member inquiry to the daily care of the property, our staff help keep the club organized, welcoming and ready for members to enjoy throughout the year.
Across the clubhouse, waters, hatchery, grounds and outdoor spaces, every role supports the care, service and attention to detail that make The Franklin Club experience so unique.

Suzanne Moore
Head Chef
Suzanne comes to the Franklin Club with high energy, great personality, an infectious laugh and a passion for cooking food where you can taste the love within. Wanting to draw you in with great smells from the kitchen as a little get away from your fishing expedition, she hopes you will embrace her creativity and love for food.
Having both a Marketing degree and a Culinary degree, she incorporates presentation as an advertisement with each plated meal. Hoping you will dive right in. Her culinary talents come from her Greek background cooking at a young age with her YaYa and tweeking the recipes to meet everyone’s palette. She welcomes any suggestions or recommendations with a smile. So come on in and enjoy good eats with your family and friends. Cheers!

Fishery, Hatchery & Grounds Care
Emma Frey
Manager of Hatchery & Grounds
Before Emma joined the Franklin Club in July of 2022, she completed her undergraduate studies, majoring in biology at Queen’s University. While at Queen’s, Emma was a part of the women’s rugby team where they were able to obtain 2 OUA gold medals and a Usport National Championship gold medal. Emma was also a part of U18 Team Canada and Team Ontario where she captained and lead the Ontario team to a silver medal.
In Emma’s 4th year of University she spent 2 months in South Africa studying ecology and biodiversity off the coast of Cape Town. With sharks being the main focus in her research, she was able to be a part of tagging a 5 meter female great white shark. She started research on the migratory patterns of Ocean Sunfish by referencing data from the last 8 years of sunfish sightings in the Gansbaai area. Her research was then published in the African Journal of Marine Science in 2023.
Emma grew up spending her summers at the cottage, fishing with her father who was the president of a fishing club in the GTA at the time. Growing up in that environment inspired her to pursue a career in aquaculture and ecology.
Parker Sanford
Hatchery & Grounds Assistant
Growing up Parker would spend many summer days with his Grandfather, who has been a member of the Franklin Club since the early 1980s learning how to fly fish at the club.
Parker then obtained a Bachelor of Agricultural Science in animal science as well as a certificate in aquaculture at Dalhousie University’s Agricultural Campus in Truro, Nova Scotia. The first place Parker wanted to work at was the Franklin Club since he always enjoyed the time he spent at the club and thought it would be the perfect place to begin a career in aquaculture.
Before he joined the Franklin Club team, Parker worked in a property maintenance role for a conservation area along the Credit River and brings a lot of experience to the club to keep the property looking its best for the members to enjoy their time much like he did as a kid with his Grandfather.
Parker is very excited to bring everything he learned at school to the club’s hatchery to help rear the best rainbow and brook trout for the members to have the same experiences that he had with his Grandfather. Parker’s Grandpa is still a club member and is very proud to have his grandson help grow the fish he can still go fishing for with his grandson.
