Beyond Fishing

In addition to the unsurpassed fishing facilities, the Club offers a clubhouse with overnight rooms open 365 days a year. There is also a meeting room available for members use.

Many experienced fly fishing anglers are prepared to extend a helping hand to novice anglers, in addition to passing along the art of fly tying. As Club membership is limited to two hundred members, there is a well-developed sense of camaraderie amongst members and their families, both out on the lake and ponds, and in the Clubhouse.

Summer outdoor enthusiasts will enjoy the picnic area for swimming, the camping area, BBQ facilities, trails for trekking and boating. Winter activities include skating and cross-country skiing.

There is a relaxing lounge area made comfortable by an open-hearth wood-burning fireplace. Members are invited to light their own fires from the well-stocked wood supplies near the fireplace.

While The Franklin Club does not have a liquor licence, each member is assigned a liquor locker and has independent use of the bar facilities. Drinks from your own supplies may be taken to the dining room and throughout the entire Club property.

For overnight accommodation, the second floor of the Clubhouse has five bedrooms of varying sizes containing a total of ten double beds and one single bed. Rooms are simple but provide comfortable accommodation for members and their guests. These rooms can be booked in advance.

Fishing gear lockers are located on the lower level of the building.

A meeting room large enough to accommodate up to ten people is also available for our members' convenience.
