Each year, Kasting 4 Kids Rehab holds an executive fly fishing event at the exclusive Franklin Club in support of children with disabilities at Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital. This unique and intimate event brings together 80 leaders from Toronto’s professional community for some friendly fly fishing competition. Kasting 4 Kids Rehab features instruction by Ian Colin James and a number of Ontario’s top fly fishing guides. On April 21, 2011, we raised more than $175,000. We would like to extend sincere appreciation to our sponsors and all those individuals who participated. Your support is helping to create a world without limits for children with disabilities.
The Club Manager is Jim Oosterbroek who holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marine Biology from the University of Guelph. Jim is responsible for the club's overall operation, which includes one of the largest privately-owned trout hatcheries in the province.
An annually elected Board of Directors establishes fiscal priorities and club policies

Established in 1909 by a group of doctors from St. Michael's Hospital in Toronto, The Franklin Club was originally created as a private weekend fishing getaway. Over the years, the Club has evolved into a year round fishing retreat for anglers. Members, including spouses, are encouraged to invite their families and friends to participate in the wide range of outdoor activities available at The Franklin Club.
